Cub Scout Pack Pinewood Derby
January 19, 2007

Our Pinewood Derby was held Friday, January 19. The night started with an opening skit by the Wolf Den (all they needed a nut to hold the car wheels on). This was the second year we've used our new aluminum track, and the first year we used the electronic finish line. Results were entered into our score-keeping system and projected on the big screen--thanks to George W!
Scouts and parents could watch and root their cars on. Tigers raced first, followed by Wolves, Bears and Webelos. Ribbons were awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place in each Den, then we raced the first place winners to award the Grand Champion trophy

Scouts and siblings not racing could watch the movie "Cars" and enjoy a snack of fresh-popped popcorn (thanks Annette and Janet!)
