Cub Scout Pack
Long Island Train Museum
September 29, 2007

As part of Cub Scout Express Month Pack 189 ventured out to Riverhead to the Railroad Museum of Long Island on September 29th. We toured the Riverhead facility and saw some very interesting trains. We rode on a miniature train that was exhibited at the 1964 Worlds Fair and saw a couple of awesome model train layouts. We then took our very own LIRR coach to the Greenport facility. As a special added bonus, the boys got to see what it is like running the train and even blew the horn of the train on during our ride. Saw a few more trains in Greenport, had lunch and took the train back to Riverhead. The museum was hosting a Hobo gathering and some of the pack spoke and sang songs with the group. Everyone had a great time.
