On Saturday, January 5, 2008, Pack 189 took a trip to Family Auto Service in Baldwin Long Island. In keeping with our theme of the month, "Cars", we saw how a real auto repair shop operates. The boys were shown all the unique tools used on cars an how they work. As a special treat, we saw a special pick up truck that won car competitions. A couple of the boys made the cars go up on the lifts. We learned how the Auto Repair industry and in particular Family Auto is doing their part for the environment by recycling oil and other materials. The boys had a fun time and are ready to work on their parents cars. We were even given a goody bag of stickers, frisbees and hats.
