Cub Scout Pack

Dear Cub Scout Parents,

 

                Welcome to another great year of Cub Scouting! We look forward to a year of fun and learning. We are planning many trips and special events. Please read all flyers, newsletters, and emails carefully for details as you receive them.

                Our pack nights will be held 1 time per month. A calendar has been added to the end of this letter with all dates. All pack nights will be held at the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton School cafeteria.

                All scouts Must be in Full Uniform and accompanied to Pack Night by at least one parent. Sign in begins at 6:50 (for attendance at your den’s table). Please find your Den table and be seated. Opening Ceremony will begin at 7:00 sharp. A full uniform is: SCOUT HAT, SCOUT SHIRT, NECKERCHIEF & SLIDE, AND BLUE PANTS (jeans or khakis are good NO SWEAT PANTS please). We also ask our parents to help their sons to sit quietly at their den table. There will be NO RUNNING AROUND and NO LEAVING THE CAFETERIA. We are asking that you accompany your child if they must leave the room, no one may enter any other area of the school building. The cafeteria and the school are to be left in good condition.

                Many times it is necessary to bring siblings to Pack Nights, they are certainly welcome. We do ask, however, that the parents keep the children under control so that they do not distract from the evening’s program.

                Pack Night is an opportunity to encourage the boys and to recognize them for their hard work during the year. Parents are a VALUABLE ASSET to our pack, as the boys need parental support and assistance in obtaining their achievements and goals. ALL AWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS WILL BE PRESENTED TO THE SCOUTS WITH THEIR PARENTS/GUARDIANS AT THEIR SIDES. We want to emphasize the important fact that it is difficult for a scout to advance without parental help.

                By starting on time and with parental support, our goal is to present a fun and rewarding Pack Night experience concluding as close to 8:30 as possible. We continue to ask your help in cleaning up and leaving the cafeteria in good condition.

                THE DUES FOR CUB SCOUTS IS $70.00 PER CUB AND IS DUE ON OR BEFORE THE FIRST PACK NIGHT SEPTEMBER 29TH. Please make checks to PACK 580. Checks are to be given to your den leaders.

                We had a very successful year last year and we look forward to making this year exciting. Please check your emails and please check the volunteer list if you have not volunteered as of yet. Please see your Chairpersons Maria O and Kathy W or your child's den leader. The more help we have the better our pack will be. It is a lot of FUN!!
